Idol Hands is what happens when artists who've been doing this for decades stop compromising and start building exactly the kind of studio they'd want to walk into. Clean. Focused. No filler. Every piece is custom, every client gets a one-on-one conversation before a machine ever touches skin, and the work speaks loud enough that we don't need to.
The Artists
Every piece that leaves this studio was designed for the person wearing it.
We work in all styles - realism, traditional, illustrative, black and grey, full colour, large-scale, fine detail. What we don't do is rush, cut corners, or pretend all tattoos take the same skill set. You'll be matched with the artist whose strengths fit your project, not whoever happens to be free on a Tuesday.
Consultations are always free. Come in, sit down, talk through the idea. We'll tell you what's possible, what'll age well, and what the honest timeline looks like.
Shane
Twenty-plus years in. The most technical and versatile artist in the shop. Shane can do most styles including realism, colour, black and grey, large-scale custom work, all of it executed with care and precision.
Shawn
Colour and black and grey, and the rare artist who's equally dangerous in both. Shawn works collaboratively - he wants to know what you're carrying into the chair, not just what you want on your skin. The result is work that feels like it belongs to you because it does.
Andrew
Illustrative and traditional with a creative instinct that turns "I have this idea" into something you didn't know you wanted until you saw it. Andrew's not interested in reproducing Pinterest screenshots. He's interested in making something worth screenshotting.
Alexsa
The newest addition to the roster and already one of the most exciting. Alexsa's work is creative, playful, and sharp - fun without being frivolous. Strong in both colour and black and grey, with a style that's still evolving, which is exactly what you want from an artist this early in a career this promising.
